1. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
Sometimes we will allow the kids to open one on Christmas Eve. Mostly though,
we open on Christmas morning.
2. What is your favorite Christmas cookie (or candy)?
My wonderful mother-in-law made the very best sugar cookies in the world! She
spent literally hours in her kitchen cutting them out (and they had to be very
soft, which meant very little handling of the dough) baking them, and decorating
them. They were yummy! They are way too much work for me!
3. What's the worst Christmas gift you've ever received?
I can't remember anything that I would classify as "the worst"
4. Christmas song that you love?
I love "Mary Did You Know?".
5. How many trees do you put up?
One. That's enough. Sometimes it's too many! This year it's very beautiful. Our
always puts the tree together then fluffs the branches. This year he fluffed the
branches, then put them together. Very full this year! Hope we remember this
little trick next year.

Our poor little "A" girl has strep throat. The school nurse called yesterday that
"A" had a fever, and was saying her throat hurt. Dennis picked her up at school,
and headed for the doctor's office. "A" has strep. Aarrggggh! Poor girl. Do
you ever get strep? We all seem to be very susceptible to strep, so it's kinda like waiting for the next shoe to drop, waiting to see who will get it next.
"Oh how I praise the Lord. How I rejoice in God my Savior! For He took notice of His lowly servant girl, and now generation after generation will call me blessed. For He, the Mighty One, is holy, and He has done great things for me. His mercy goes on from generation to generation, to all who fear Him. His mighty arm does tremendous things! How He scatters the proud and haughty ones! He has taken princes from their thrones and exalted the lowly. He has satisfied the hungry with good things and sent the rich away with empty hands. And how He has helped His servant Israel! He has not forgotten His promise to be merciful. For He promised our ancestors---Abraham and his children---to be merciful to them forever."
Luke 1:46-55

Hi Dianne...I liked your answers to FQF. It's a fun little blog hop sometimes. I do it occasionally.
Sorry about the strep. Yuck. I used to get that all the time when I was a kid. I had my tonsils removed when I was like 17...and never had strep after that that I can remember.
My oldest daughter was prone to it too because of enlarged tonsils and so hers got taken out when she was about 16.
That was a good trick to fluff the branches before putting them on the fake tree. But the little tree I have now is in three parts and the branches are all attached.
I gave the big, full 10 ft. tree to one of my daughters and bought a 7ft. slim tree which is easier for us to put up and take down. It came pre-lit, but that is a laugh. The lights burned out the first year and so we just add lights on it.
Thanks for your visit today and for the sweet comment. You are most kind!
Linda
