I just this minute realized that it's Thursday! You know what that means......
With this statement of what I am thankful for, you may think I'm not a very nice person, but here goes..........I'm really thankful that our son divorced his ex. There I said it. It's out there for you to see. But what you don't know is, I just found her MySpace page. She has made it public, which means she doesn't care who sees it. And guess what?? She has really disgusting photos of herself on there. Nuff said. You get the idea. Well, guess what else she has on there? Pictures of her 4 children. Yep. Right there with her own barely dressed photos. I wasn't surprised to see her, but I was shocked that she shared the page with her kids. *sigh* So, I'm really glad our son divorced her. I'm so thankful that 2 of those 4 kids are here where they can be nurished and loved.
I'm so thankful that it didn't rain today! The day was truly beautiful. Sunny, warm, blue skies, gentle breeze. Ahhhhhh. Thank you, Lord.
The summer classes the girls are taking are really something special. They begin the day with normal school...things like math, spelling, writing. Then they have lunch at 12:30. Then outside for about 15 minutes of fresh air. Then cooking class! They spend about an hour in there. They have made things like "dirt", and Rice Krispy treats. Then on to another class. Brianna takes jump rope. Cheyenne takes yoga. Ally takes games. These girls are just loving school right now!! And it's all free. 8:30 to 3:30. Free breakfast. Free Lunch. Free classes. I am so thankful for the classes, and that the girls are loving their summer fun so far.
I'm thankful for good books to read on these warm days. I sat outside on the swing this morning, and again this afternoon and read a good book by Fern Michaels. I love to read, and I believe it's in my DNA. Both of my parents loved to read, and I think that love was passed on to me.
