I know everyone thinks the weather in their area is weird, but my goodness the weather here in our area of Oklahoma is really strange!! It will be 81 one day, and snow the next, or 81 in one day, and snow the SAME day! But one thing a person can count on in our area is the wind. *sigh* I hate wind........
Ally had her therapy session this morning, and it went real well. I like her counselor, and it seems that Ally does, also. Most people can't get Ally to talk very loud, but Joan always seems to draw Ally out and they engage in conversation. Today they talked about giving, and sharing. Ally took in a bag of toys so Joan would have some interesting toys for other children going there for therapy. She chose the toys herself, and they were nice. Joan put them out on a shelf so other children could see them, and play with them. Ally has Asperger's Autism (high functioning) and she sees a therapist every Tuesday morning. Asperger's children usually have a lot of fears, and the therapy helps that. With Ally, the fears are plentiful. We work on that all the time. I am teaching her Scriptures verses to use when the fears seems very big. "For God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind". (I use that one, too, for myself!) "What time I am afraid, I will trust in You". You get the idea. The only way to handle fear is with God's Word. It will restore your mind.
Brianna and Ally both won Red Banner for the month of February! That's a big honor at their school. It means they have good character traits. I have pictures of the big event, but DJ neglected to hook the wires back up to my computer so I could upload pictures from my camera, so pictures will be at another time!
