Saturday morning

Somehow I always think that Saturday mornings will be spent lazing around sleeping and slowly savoring coffee whenever I finally decide to get up. *sigh* That doesn't happen! I always wake up in a good mood until I meet the first child that wants to tattle, or is whining about another child, or wants to go to the bathroom, but of course not alone....she wants ME to go with her because the light isn't on in there. I instruct the child that if you turn the light ON, then it will be light in there, and she wouldn't need me to get up out of bed, and go with her. *sigh* That never works at our house.

So, this Saturday morning is like every Saturday morning, and I awake to "M-O-M-M-Y!!!!" Not good. Why do children never scream Daddy??

But upon reflection, I wouldn't have it any other way. Now what would I change?? I want these 3 children living here with me. And because I have btdt before, I know what that means....no sleep ins on Saturday! And the time goes by so fast. Some day they will sleep in, and not wake me up screaming, whining, and fighting. Some day they will not be sleeping HERE, they will be in their own homes with their own children waking THEM up on Saturday morning. Hmmmmmm.....sweet revenge, huh?!

Dennis took all three girls to Bingo Night at their school. Before they left here, I fed them pizza so they wouldn't want the expensive pizza at the school! And at school they were able to purchase canned pop for $.50. Now I mention that because all week the girls have been talking about the pop costing FIFTY DOLLARS!! So I have had to teach them about dollar signs and decimal points! They are fast learners.

They had a good time at the Bingo Game and came home all excited, and full of ink from the ink daubers! They each won something small, and they were happy. One little girl won a hundred dollars! (NOT one of our girls, mind you!) Yep! Big money for a little one, huh?! Hmmmm, big money for a big person, too!

After being 81 on Thursday, it has turned cold again. Windy, too, which makes it feel oh, so much colder. I hate wind! And I hate cold, so cold and windy is a really awful combination for me. My plans to get out and walk some every day has been put on hold....again. And I really need to get out and move. Not really an excuse when we can exercise in the church gym FREE.

Ally came home and ate more pizza. Then after she went to bed, and fell asleep, she was sick to her tummy. Real sick. *sigh* So, no sleep here until her tummy settled down....after 1:00. This morning she doesn't even remember being so sick. She wondered why she had different pajamas on, and I had her blanket in the washer, and why I had thrown the bathroom rug away. (yeah, it was that bad) So very glad she feels better today.

Dianne - we have the same life!! Only instead of 3 girls, we have 2 boys here. Both of whom only know the word "Mommy" or "Mama" (depending on what they want!) Aren't we the lucky ones - late nights and all!!!
