Every morning that I wake up, I am thankful. It could so easily have gone another way.
Everytime I spend time with my family, I give thanks. I am so blessed to have the people in my family that I have.
In every remembrance of you, I give thanks. I have some really great, supportive friends. I know they are there, and I know they are praying.
It's wonderful to have such a great Sunday School class of sweet, caring ladies. I'm so glad I found this class!
My Heavenly Father loves me and cares for me. That has sustained me for years.
In the back right hand corner of our yard I have some beautiful narcisses growing. Every spring when these flowers come up, I give thanks for the woman who was my precious mother-in-law. She was truly a great person, and a Godly woman. How do I know she was a Godly woman? Because I was with her a lot, and she always talked to me about her faith in God. And because I was with her that Sunday long ago when she stood up at the invitation of the preacher and walked forward to receive Christ in her heart. Later she said to me "I have always wanted to do that".
My life has not always been easy. In fact it's been really really hard sometimes. But God has seen me through the rough times, and He has taught me to give thanks even in the bad times. He has given me a great husband, 4 great kids, 9 terrific grandchildren, and the best of the best of friends. He has seen to it that we always had food, and a roof over our head. "I was young, now I am old, and never have I seen the seed of the righteous begging bread". "Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.", "All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock--the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. You basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out".
