We drove to our second daughter's house today to retrieve a Wii controller we left there on Christmas Day. I'm always thankful to visit the home of one of our daughters.
And since Dana does child care in her home, I was able to get my "baby fix" while I was there! Dana has the cutest little one (about 4 1/2 months) and since he has GERD pretty bad, he does a lot of crying. Oh yeah~ hand me your crying, sad, unhappy babys and I will hold 'em until they go to sleep! In about 15 minutes he was out cold. And another one bites the dust!!
We left Dana's house and decided to go to Wendy's for lunch. My poor deprived girls, they haven't eaten at Wendy's before! They were so funny asking if there were fries there, if they could get a hamburger, if there was cheese on the hamburgers, if they had milkshakes. *sigh* Poor deprived girls. But we fixed that sad situation, and they all agreed that Wendy's has great food. I discovered that the new salads are great. Of course, I only had the Apple Pecan salad, but it was really good. (free advertisement here. No one at Wendy's even knows I have a blog)
Today's high was 71. It's supposed to get cold tomorrow afternoon. But to have such a high temp in December is unheard of. I'm thankful for that!
Tonight a large glass was turned over onto the couch. I learned that a child was lying on the couch and trying to drink from the glass. *sigh* I'm thankful it was only water. And I'm thankful that I held my temper in check. :)

Dianne...how nice that you got to go to Dana's for a visit.I know I would have enjoyed holding the baby as much as you did.Nothing like sitting and holding a baby while the baby sleeps.I love both the apple pecan with grilled chicken salad at Wendy's and the Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad.Haven't had either in awhile and now I want one!
Wendy's has some healthy choices.Their chili is tasty and good for you too.Jeremy really loves the chicken nuggets at Wendy's:)
