5 Questions Friday

1. How long does your Christmas tree stay up?
The older we get the shorter the time the tree is up! We used to decorate very
extravagantly but now we're lucky to get the tree up and decorated! :)

2. Do you have plans for New Year's Eve?
Our 3 girls have invited a friend to stay overnight. Otherwise, we just plan
to watch Marmaduke and eat snacky stuff.

3. Do you have any New Year's resolutions?
I don't make resolutions. But I do set some goals for myself. Maybe it's in
word, but goals I can do, resolutions I break.

4. How did you spend New Year's Eve when you were younger?
We have never been the party "type". I enjoy having my grown kids here to play
games and laugh. But now dh and I don't go anywhere. It's too dangerous to be
out on the roads with so many people being high on drugs, or drunk on alcohol.

5. What was the best way you've ever spent New Year's Eve?
One year about 14 or 15 years ago the young people that I worked with started to
arrive at our house one by one~~uninvited, but welcome. We had such a fun time.
Must have been about 20 people here. I look back on that night in fondness.

How fun to have unexpected guests to spend the New Year's Eve with you! I am always impressed when I actually get a tree up and decorated even if I do nothing else!

We only do a tree and I am wondering if I am going to be able to keep it up until next weekend. I promised my mom I would, but my 3year old is making me a little crazy with taking the ornaments off.
