Freaky Friday

In the middle of the hard rain Cheyenne arrived home from her sleepover. I told her to smile, but she couldn't get a smile past the rain on her face!

No, the pictures are not furry...it's how hard it was raining!

It rained really hard yesterday afternoon! The street flooded really fast! Never had the storms that were predicted for our area, but it did rain hard for quite a while. We needed the rain, and everything turned a beautiful green. I think God's favorite color must be green!

I woke up this morning to all the power being out in the house. I texted Joylyn to see if their power was out, too. But she said no it wasn't. So I went looking for Dennis to see what the problem was. He was already working on it. When he found that the fuse box to the central air was burned, we decided to call an electrician. The electrician came right out, and upon investigation of the fuse box connected to the central air, he replaced that box. It's now connected to the circuit breaker. Then the main air wouldn't come on, and the man went looking for the cause. He looked everywhere! Then he called a fellow electrician friend (who turned out to be a long time friend of ours! Small world!) to ask what the problem could be. The friend told him to check the fuse on the furnace....and that was it! We now have cool safe air blowing out of the central air conditioner. yay!! Just in time for the hotter temps arriving over the weekend.

Casie is getting big enough to jump right over the box we put up to block him into the living room. He sails right over that thing. Cute to see, but frustrating, too. He will go into all the bedrooms looking for things to chew on, and in the girls' bedroom he will find a lot of things!! He goes underneath our bed in our bedroom, and will hide under there thinking it's a fun game to play. He runs out and then runs back under when we try to grab for him. Not fun for us, but he loves that. I know that because of the huge smile on his silly face! :)

Just be glad you got all that rain, we were dry, dry, dry till yesterday when we finally got about an inch. We love rain at our house, because the lawn and flowers love it so!

Looks like some mighty hard rain.Cassie sounds like so much fun.Jeremy is so anxious to get a dog.Ken is leaning towards getting a dog about a year old. That is the age Bub was when we adopted him from the animal shelter. He was never one to chew like Cassie but two other dogs that we have had in the past sure were the chewers!

Hope your AC is fixed by now!
