Thankful Saturday

When I first heard from the news that our area would be hit with a huge winter storm, I began praying. I asked that we not have as bad a storm as the weatherman was predicting, and I asked that no power in our area would be lost. I asked that no high winds would be in our area for trees and large branches to fall. I asked that we not have the high amounts of ice from freezing rain as the weatherman was saying we would have. Then I thanked God for being there, and for listening to my plea, and answering. And He did! The ice was far less than the news had been saying, and we did not have the high winds, and no power loss in our area.

Yes, we did have a winter storm. But God listened to the prayers of a woman who is afraid of winter storms after the huge devastating ice storm of 2007. I am reading the Bible through, and I am learning that God wants us to bring our fears to Him, and He will answer if we believe that He is there loving and caring for us. And I do believe. And I love Him with all my mind; all my heart, and all my strength; and my neighbor as myself.

Thank You, Heavenly Father!!!! The snow is beautiful! And the ice almost gone. Thank You for the sunshine today. The weatherman has said clouds for today...what does he know about Your plans?!
