Merry Christmas eve eve

Or in other words Merry 2 days before Christmas! The girls and I do this every day. I know, we're weird around here.

No Christmas cookies at our house. I sent Dennis to buy some of the frosted cookies from WalMart and he came home empty handed because he says the cookies are $6. What?
DJ called to say he had picked up two containers of the cookies at the WalMart near his store. I asked him how much they were, and he said $2.75. We are thinking that Dennis looked at the wrong cookies. I couldn't bake cookies because I have no flour. Last year I baked dozens of cookies, but not this year. No candies either. =(
Oh well, we don't really need any of that stuff, do we........

We are expecting a bad winter storm to arrive here overnight as the temperatures fall into the 30's and 20's. I'm not happy. I don't want a white Christmas! It's cloudy out today with really wet feeling air. The rain will be moving in shortly so the girls are being held captive in the house!

I'm getting tired of the tree. I would like to take it down the day after Christmas. And I'd like to have the mantle back, too. I want my pictures of my family back up there. Guess I'm really strange. I love Christmas, but I get so tired of all the decorations.

(((Dianne))) - I can tell that you are ready to get back to "normal" in your house. My mom would put the tree up a few days before Christmas and it would come down as soon as the last person opened their gift. Sometimes, she would be undecorating the tree as the last person was opening their present! She was not one to leave decorations up for a long time! :)
