Oh what a beautiful day!

It's sunny, windy, and in the mid 40's. I love the sunshiny days. The wind I don't like, and the 40's are better than the 30's. That how I view the weather!

The girls are out of school today for President's Day. I'm thinking it could have been used for an icestorm make up day, but ok. What will happen is they will just tack the 5 makeup days onto the end of the school year. *sigh*

Dennis seems to be growing stronger every day. He still has a cough, but I understand that the cough goes along with heart failure. I have to admit that Dennis is better at the "watch what you are eating" than I am. I have dieter my entire grown up life, and quite frankly I'm tired of it! Dennis is only allowed to drink 2 liters of liquid per day. That seems to be harder for him than the food intake.

Yesterday was our son-in-law, Gary's, birthday. We were invited, and we went. I never leave my home, but since their house is easy for me to get into, I didn't mind going. I can't "do" steps anymore, and I'm off balance almost all the time, so I stay home most of the time. There is a weather front moving in our area, and I really don't feel well today, so I'm glad the celebration for the birthday was yesterday and not today! We had a very good time. Gary's parents came over and I like spending time with them. We talked about recipes for diabetics, and for heart attack patients. Gary's dad said many times that he likes the new house, and he is glad the family moved there. I'm glad, too!

Our middle daughter, Dana, took the picture at the top of the page. Good, huh?! She is a great photographer, and plans to make that her career/business.
