The real simple life!

This is Denise's daughter, Joylyn, when she was 5 and graduated from Kindergarten! Yesterday was the moving up ceremony, and Joylyn moved up from the 8th grade to the 9th grade! That time passed quickly.

The Year End ceremony for the homeschoolers was yesterday, and was great! We had such a nice time; we saw old friends we don't see often enough. And Gary's parents were there, and we really don't see them very often. Cecil has been in bad health, and he's lost weight, and looks good. They left early though.
There was tons of food! And yes, I ate some of it. And my sugar this morning was 85!! It's all in the portions.
On the way home from the program, we were in a horrific storm. The wind was so strong I worried we would blow into another car. And the highway was flooded in several areas. And the hail!! The hail sounded like croquet balls falling on the roof of the car. Brianna was terrified. I have to admit to be afraid, too. But Ally and Cheyenne were having great fun with the whole thing! Ally said "we're ok. We have shelter." What shelter?! A van rolling down the flooded highway, blowing around like a feather in the wind, with croquet size hail falling on us!? Oh, that shelter.
Silly me............

Congratulations Joylyn! I'm glad you were kept safe while traveling in the storm. How great that you could eat and still have low blood sugar. I believe you are learning how to eat what you want, just watch the portion size. Now teach me to do that! :)

I have never heard of a graduating ceremony from kindergarten. Joylyn looks so sweet. Congratulations to her!

Ally is just a precious gem! She had real faith and it sounds like she could lighten what was probably a very stressful situation. It seems the US is getting hit with such extreme storms anymore.
