Brianna's birthday shirt

This is Ally getting off the school bus after her summer reading class. She is really enjoy the class, and it should help her with her reading in the second grade.

My sister-in-law has a miraculous sewing machine that does awesome things! She made this wonderful shirt for Brianna's 8th birthday. I also have a birthday shirt for Ally to wear on her birthday, June 25th. My baby will be 7. I can't believe that.

It's been raining in paradise! A part of our city about 5 miles from us had a down burst last night around 10:30. It did some damage in that area. With us though, we just had rain, and thunder. I sat on the girls' bed in case they woke up, and were afraid. I watched Deadliest Catch while I was there. I love that show! It's about crab fishermen on the Bering Sea.

It's supposed to 90 tomorrow and very humid. Dana is planning to come visit tomorrow, so her two boys will be able to swim! We've all looked forward to this.

Denise is very excited about their veggie garden! She has spent her day today making refrigerator pickles. She got the recipe from her grandma..who was the best pickle maker EVER!! :) Denise is growing corn, tomatoes, squash, beans, cucumbers, watermelon, and whatever else she told me, and I forgot. I hope she learns how to can all this stuff!

She does not get all this homemaker stuff from me! I don't like to get my hands dirty!!
