1. Do you think cursive writing is overrated? (Schools in Indiana have now voted to take teaching cursive writing out of their curriculum.)
I believe that cursive writing should be taught in school.  When a
legal signature is needed, it must be in cursive.
2. Do you still use a pocket calendar or notepad or do you keep your info on your smart phone?
I don't have a "smart" phone.  Oh my goodness, I could never learn
how to use one of those!  I just use whatever/whoever it takes to help
me.  I've been known to stop strangers to enlist their help.....

3. What 3 things would you save if your house was burning down? (family & pets are already safe)
I would like to think I would have the presence of mind to save things
like Ally's adoption papers, our marriage license, deed to the house,\
legal stuff like that.  That would be helpful if I would put those things
together in one spot, but I'm not very organized with things like that.
Maybe this question will spur me to do something.

4. Country Mouse or City Mouse, err Person?
Probably more of a city mouse.  I do however enjoy
visiting the country from time to time.  I like the comforts
of city life too much to live full time in the country.

5. If you could pick ANY reality show to go on, which would you pick?
Hmmmmmmmm............well, I love amazing race.  But they do things
like running, and I can't run anymore.  And they sometimes eat
disgusting things (*shiver*).  Or go up really high, and have to come
back down. (*shiver*).  So Amazing Race is out.
I really like Survivor, but they do stuff, too, that I won't/can't do.  So
    that's out, too.
Ok.  I have it.  I'll go on Family Jewels.  I like Gene Simmons (somewhat),
and I like Shannon.  And they have really nice stuff around them, and
good food, and stimulating conversation.  So, I pick FAMILY JEWELS.
    Can I go now??

If it helps any to get your paperwork organized... I grabbed a three ring binder and started putting all of my important papers in there as I found I had to pull them out for one thing or another. Eventually they were all together, and that binder has come in handy more than I care to think about. It is especially nice when registering my girls for school. To have all the birth certificates and immunization records together saves a ton of time and effort!

OK, I know it's Sat, but...here's Five Q Friday's answers:I think cursive writing is important. It teaches control if nothing else--also just consider what people's signatures are going to look like w/out cursive writing! YCH!
I use a notebook w/an elastic around it from Borders--rip out pages as items are completed--my to do lists/paperwork is too important to put on my cell or computer.
If my house was on fire and family and pets were safe I'd save:
Purse w/credit cards and id
My cell phone
And some shoes to put on--cd be stark naked but shoes are necessary! Well not really...but... i do love my shoes!
All my papers are in the bank so they aren't important, but my ID is...presume the bank wd get me an extra safe deposit key if I needed one. Am also presuming my husband will grab some other essesntials.
Suburban person--grew up country--as adult live in the burbs--loved the country but driving 40 minutes to a mall was insane! But skating all winter on a lake was great as was swimming in the summer. Am sure the country isn't really country anymore--sadly!
Reality show--the apprentice, hands down--some of those people are--well--they need assistance!

Hi Dianne,
I stopped by to finally acknowledge your comment on my summer reading post...sorry it took so long...and of course got caught up in reading the answers to all of your questions...I have to say I would answer the same as you to most of them with the exception to the smartphone one...although I use a computer calender...As for your comment...I do love the actual feel of a book too, and I wasn't sure if I would get used to the Kindle or not. But I am able to read so much more and for travel it could not be any more conveniant! I have to have the next book as it arrives and so these ebooks are quite a bit cheaper than the hard back ones...every once in a while i do run into a book that is not out on Kindle and then...:))Pinkim...
