Sunny Sunday in June

Happy Sunday afternoon!  Here in Oklahoma in our area it's already sunny and hot.  But we do have a breeze....which helps some.  When it's this hot, I usually stay in the house.  I am so thankful for central air conditioning!  When we lived in Ohio we had no a.c. which made our summers humid and miserable!

Yesterday was Ally's 11th birthday.  She chose to open gifts yesterday, and have her cake and ice cream today because D.J. is home.  So after church today we are having pizza.  We just celebrated Brianna's 12th birthday June 12th.  My birthday is next week.  By the time we get to my birthday, we are tired of cake!  And I don't choose to eat pizza again after already having pizza for two birthdays!

For those who don't know, Ally was adopted when she was 3 1/2 after being her foster mom since she was 7 weeks old, and she was diagnosed with Asperger's two years ago.  Brianna is a grand daughter who has lived here with her dad (our son), and her sister Cheyenne since Brianna was 2 years old, and Cheyenne was 9 months old.  So, right now we have a 10 year old, an 11 year old, and a 12 year old.  Our life is busy, noisy, fun, and full of love.  It's hard to be "retired", in bad health, and raising three more kids, but I wouldn't have it any other way.....maybe I would erase the bad health thing!

Such beautiful girls God gave you to love, and I know you wouldn't have it any other way. What a blessing!
