For lunch this afternoon I thought I'd slice a bagel and place a slice of cheese on each
half. But as I was cutting the bagel I sliced my thumb. As soon as I felt the blade of the knife I knew the cut was serious. When I looked at my thumb, I called for my husband to come look. He agreed that I would need stitches. So I called our older daughter (who lives on the street behind us with her family) to see if one of my granddaughters could come over and watch two of our three girls while I went to get stitches. So my first thankfulness is...
1. I needed 5 stitches, and the cut was not as serious as I first feared.
2. Numbing medicine didn't make me pass out! (yep, it hurt, but I lived through it)
3. The thumb I cut is already numb because of neuropathy.
4. Lovely flowers that bloom even in the dryness and heat of summer.
5. Finding a really good Christian author who writes wonderful books!!
6. Answered prayer
7. You
