Things learned from either parents or grandparents:
1. DON'T TELL EVERYTHING YOU KNOW.
Oh my goodness the times I heard my mom say this to me!!! She always tried to
get me to be quiet and leave some mystery, but just couldn't do that! Now I hear
myself saying this same thing to the three girls. I know what you meant now, Mom.
2. DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR.
My grandmother always said that to her grandchildren. This has been really
good advice and something worth passing along to my own family...and something
to keep in my heart.
I learned a lot from my wonderful Mother-in-Law, too. She always told me that
the things we worry about hardly ever happen, so why worry. I am a born worrier,
got that from my dad! He would always tell me to not worry, but he worried, so
I did, too! ;) So to hear my Mother-in-law tell me that what I was worrying so much about wouldn't happen anyway was sweet music to my soul. Thanks, Mom!
