I'm so thankful that the Blizzard Event of Feb 1, 2011 wasn't any worse! Our power stayed on. It did flicker once, but just enough to shut off the t.v. and reboot the computer.
I thankful that Casie and Rufus are playing and being nice with each other. I didn't know the first couple of days what was going to happen. Casie acted like he thought he's been replaced. The truth is, I have enjoyed Casie so much, I wanted the enjoyment of two. And this is from a woman who wouldn't allow dogs in the house!
Our furnace went out last night. The coldest temperatures here in our area for more than 10 years, and our furnace goes out! I had a very hard time getting up this morning. Our son made coffee so I would have something hot to look forward to. DH called the furnace repair company and they came right out. The fan motor went out, and it would cost almost as much to replace it as to just buy a new furnace. So, tomorrow morning we are getting a new furnace. That means another very night! But I can sleep with three blankets (oh why didn't I buy that electric blanket when Aldi's had them on sale??) knowing that it will be warm in here tomorrow. I'm hoping that the girls' friend will invite them to stay overnight tonight.

So sorry to hear your furnace went out.Saw on FB that you have a wood burning stove which is good.With a new central air system and new furnace you are set for many years to come.Glad you have enough blankets.We are heading to Lowes tomorrow for some ice melt to get ready for ice and snow moving our way this weekend and next week.Don't even want to begin to guess how much ice melt we have used this winter.Hope you have a warm up soon so your snow will melt.Stay warm:)
