I'm thankful for a bright sunny day with a temperature of 60 on December 2nd! That could change with little or no warning, so I'll enjoy it while it's here!
Our second daughter threw me out a Bible reading challenge last year, and I decided to take that challenge. I am reading the Bible through in one year....or in my case a little past a year. I'm really trying to be the woman of God I know that I'm supposed to be, and reading God's Word should not be difficult. I've noticed that I get all excited while I'm reading, and I think about what I've read. But when things go wrong in my life, I take a break in my reading. Now, that isn't right. I should be running TO God when things aren't going the way I need them to go. Such as when my dad passed away. I couldn't seem to focus on reading, so I didn't read.
I have now returned and I'm again excited about what I'm reading. It's only about 30 minutes a day, so I've again made it my goal to read every day. It isn't a competition so I won't be rushing myself. I will slow down and enjoy what God is telling me.
I'm thankful to be in good health this year. (Won't be counting that heart attack in February) I have more strength right now and I can walk by myself~~~as long as I'm in my own house. I do lose my balance when walking outside, or somewhere else. But the point is, I can walk!
I'm thankful for my three wonderful brothers. They have such patience with me.
"No weapon turned against you will succeed. And everyone who tells lies in court will be brought to justice. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from Me. I, the Lord, have spoken!" Isaiah 54:16-17

Dianne that is great that you are reading the Bible through. I know that you will be blessed!
My hubby and I are reading it through in the Chronological Bible and we are almost done. It has been fun and we have learned many things.
We didn't do it in a year, but just along with our other studies and readings.
Your little 10 year old is blessed to be a part of such a loving family. I am glad God brought her into your life.
No more heart attacks girl...take care!
