Our oldest daughter and her husband invited us to spend the day in their home today. So I will begin my thanks today with a huge thank you to Denise and Gary!
I'm thankful today that we have food to eat to fill our bellies...both when we are hungry and when we aren't. I'm thankful to the Father for providing us with food, and the means to buy it.
I'm thankful that it was nice and cold today...not hot. Yesterday it was 80, and today's high was only 40. Right now it's 29. I have to say this is probably the first time I've really been thankful for cold!
I'm thankful that our second daughter and her family had a safe trip to visit with friends for the weekend. It's about an hour's drive, and the roads were slick. It was misty/drizzly yesterday, then it froze overnight. And it was sleeting a little on the drive.
I'm thankful that my glucose levels weren't really all that high today. Truth be told, I was expecting higher levels.
"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto Thy Name, O most High: To show forth your lovingkindness in the morning, and your faithfulness every night" Psalm 92:1-2
