Well so far I'm not impressed

The weatherman has said we will get more snow overnight. Now really! Is this necessary? And the temperatures are just so low. It's supposed to be 15 with a windchill of 7. This coming week the daytime highs are supposed to be in the teens, and the overnight lows in the single digits. I don't really like winter, and especially when old man winter wants to show his ugly side so often.

We didn't get the tree down yet. I told Dennis that I want it down tomorrow, and if he will please bring in the tubs, the girls and I will get the job done. Too many late nights, and not enough solid sleep makes Dianne a slow, lazy girl.

We went outside Thursday night and saw the "blue moon". It was so bright! The girls loved going outside at midnight, seeing the full moon, and smelling the new year's air. It's a tradition in my family that I started many years ago. I think the new year's air smells different, and I have always taken my kids outside at midnight to have them sniff the new air. I'll say one thing about sniffing the air this year....It Was Cold!! Then we come back inside and enjoy some snacks (usually shrimp) and drink some sparkling grape juice. Everyone is usually in bed and asleep by 1:00 a.m. I've never been a person who can stay awake very late at night.

We have kept up that tradition at our house and we have spent the new year with the Marshalls so long that they now do it too. As soon as midnight rang in, the whole party headed outsided. This year's new air smells a lot like smoke and sulfur from all the fireworks. LOL

I heard you all got a lot of snow. That is no fun! My parents are on their way back to MN and most of their way will have ice and snow, yuck!
