We started our day today with a high in the low 50's, and it's been downhill ever since. It's now 31* and very windy, so you know that makes it feel so much colder. I'm so thankful for a warm house.....ohhh, that belongs on Thankful Thursday!! Ok, so it isn't Thursday, but I'm still thankful. =) The weatherman is saying we could get a light dusting of snow, but mainly flurries for our area. I'll settle for the flurries. It's the one year anniversary of the Great Ice Storm of 2007 and it's still fresh in my mind. I'll take flurries........
The above picture is my dad. He was in the hospital in the Atlanta area for what was thought to be a heart attack. It was discovered that he has pancreatitis and gall stones. A gall bladder removal was done Sunday morning, and it was then discovered that two gall stones had travelled to a bile duct in the stomach. So then he had an endoscopy to remove the stones. *sigh* Because I live so far away, it was a very stressful time for me. Oh how I relied on God's promises during this hard time. But the good news is Dad is now home and feeling good. Those are his words! I'm sure he must be sore and tired, but he says he feels good! God is good.
Now you know you can't come here and not hear puppy news! Puppies are now walking! They were doing an army crawl yesterday, then last night they got up and walked. It's so cute! I've tried to make a puppy friendly area for them so they can't get into trouble, but can walk about and see their world. They can even walk in and out of the dog house (that's now in the kitchen). They will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. It's been a precious exciting three weeks. Very good positive experience for the three girls. But we are hoping, and planning, on this being the last experience of it's kind here at our house! =)
Our new gas stove is now hooked up and ready for action! So to christen it we will be having grilled cheese sandwiches tonight! Makes the girls happy, and it isn't too complicated for me! Ok, ok, I'll cook a real meal on it tomorrow.....
