| Two moons on August 27th! The Whole World is waiting for August 27th a.m. Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August. It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will cultivate when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth. Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. Thanks for reminding me Dianne! I'm such a night owl anyway, I may as well stay up to watch it. I don't have to be at work till noon anyway.
Lol! After telling everyone to be sure and watch, I can't see it myself! I can't walk outside my door. Then it would require me to walk down 3 steps and down our driveway. Not happening...not with this injured knee/leg. *sigh* Let me know what you saw.
We saw a gorgeous full moon and a bunch of twinkling stars shining through the night. No Mars, but still a beautiful night sky.
Turns out this is one of the internet hoaxes, hubby looked it up before we went to bed. Good thing I found out and didn't stay up so late! But I woke up briefly at 3 am, and found the moon shining so brightly it was almost like daylight in the room. Beautiful!
