Day before Ally's birthday

My sister-in-law has a miraculous sewing machine, and she makes the kids in the family these birthday shirts. This one is Ally's birthday shirt.

We had such fun. Denise, Gary, and the kids stopped by and surprised us, so we invited them to stay and have birthday cake and ice cream with us. The kids all went swimming for a couple of hours. I had great fun, but now I am sooooo tired!! The girls are still trying to unwind. I thought they would be asleep immediately, but that hasn't been the case.

I'm so sad that our across the street neighbor is moving out this weekend. The are such nice people, and it's been a pleasure to know them.

Yuuummmmyyy! Denise brought me pickles that she made herself from cucumbers from her own garden!! She used the recipe that Dennis' mom always used. I would rather have these homemade pickles than anything bought in the store.

Well, tomorrow is THE birthday! I can't believe this girl is 7 already. Where did that time go, anyway? Dana and the kids will come by tomorrow. Ally is excited about all the birthday celebrations.
