Mother's Day

I never understand what I'm doing here! I thought about putting an image right here in the blog, but the button I pushed didn't look like I thought it should look, and it didn't explain itself! So here I am with no image to add here! Use your imagination, and pretend you can see all 9 grandchildren, plus Ally. Now, aren't they beautiful??

Today has pretty much been like every other day. What should I have been expecting? Well, I got what I expected.

My own mom passed away 9 years ago. And my precious mother-in-law passed away 10 years ago. No one to honor on this special day. Hope I honored them really good in years gone by. Hope they knew how much I loved them. It's too late now to change things.

Why do our families think that Mother's Day is about flowers and/or food? It isn't about that stuff! If you aren't a mom today, and you want a mom to know you love her, then act like it! Hug her lots of times today, and do something for her.....laundry would be good! Or vacuum the floor, or listen to her! You know, when she talks, listen. And say something in return. That turns it into a conversation. Most moms like that stuff.
