Emmitt

We had to have one of our furry children put to sleep this morning. Emmitt was 12 years old, and he had some issues with nerve/muscle atrophy in his skull. Doesn't look bad in the pictures, but he had health problems because of this, and he could have "turned" on one of us at any time. But I bawled like a baby, and I'm still crying. I'll probably cry all day, and into the next year. But that's ok. Crying is a healing thing. Don't go feeling sorry for me. I'll make it through this thing just fine. I am a little concerned about the three girls though. They have no clue this was going to happen today. Prayers for them would be appreciated.

I'm so sorry, Dianne. I am also shedding a tear as I've just looked at your beautiful photo of Emmitt, what a lovely, sweet face he had. Bless him. Lots of (((((((hugs)))))) to you all, I will be thinking of you.

Emmitt was such a beauty! I know how heartbreaking loosing such a treasured pet can be. I am thinking of you today as you tell the girls the news. Part of Emmitt's spirit will be with all of you forever!

I'm so sorry, Dianne. What a beautiful dog and what a blessing he was to your lives for those 12 years that you had him. May our loving Father comfort your girls as they grieve for the loss of their pet.
